A practical two-day programme for teams responsible for AI, process transformation and operational excellence.
As organisations move AI from experimentation into production, a new challenge is becoming increasingly important:
Most business processes were never designed for AI.
Simply inserting AI into an existing process can create unnecessary model calls, excessive context and token consumption, duplicated reasoning, poorly designed human intervention and operating costs that become difficult to predict or control.
The answer is not necessarily more AI.
It is better process engineering.
The Husto AI Process Engineering Practitioner Workshop is a two-day, case-based programme designed to help participants re-engineer business processes around where AI genuinely adds value. The programme is built around five disciplines:
- Simplify the Process — eliminate unnecessary steps and use deterministic processing wherever possible.
- Minimise AI Workload — give AI only the information and context it needs.
- Right-size Intelligence — match the model and capability to the complexity of the task.
- Control AI Execution — engineer confidence gates, escalation, human intervention and reasoning limits.
- Engineer the Economics — optimise total process cost, not simply token cost.
What participants will learn
Participants will learn how to distinguish deterministic from probabilistic activities, identify where AI genuinely requires judgement or interpretation, design exception-based AI processes, minimise unnecessary context and repeated reasoning, structure information for reuse, control agentic workflows, design effective human hand-offs, and measure the economics of AI at process level.
A practical workshop — not a classroom AI course
Participants work through a realistic business case involving an insurance organisation processing tens of thousands of claims each month.
The organisation has already introduced an agentic AI solution.
The technology works.
The economics do not.
Teams are challenged to redesign the process to improve turnaround time, control AI consumption, reduce human effort and ultimately optimise cost per successfully completed transaction.
The objective is not to optimise the AI solution.
The objective is to redesign the process.
Who should attend?
The workshop is designed for professionals responsible for:
Process Excellence | Operational Excellence | AI | Transformation | Innovation | Automation | Shared Services | Digital Operations
It is particularly relevant for organisations with high-volume, document-intensive or judgement-intensive processes in sectors such as banking, insurance, telecommunications, shared services, logistics and other complex operating environments.
Workshop format
Duration: 2 days
Format: Facilitated, case-based and highly interactive
Delivery: In-house corporate workshop or selected open programmes in the Philippines
For corporate programmes, the workshop can also be adapted so that participants apply the Husto methodology to one of their organisation’s own priority processes.
